President Goodluck Jonathan And Dame Patience Jonathan Meet With Pope Francis I At The Vatican

Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan (Mama Peace), and his entourage including Governor Goodswill Akpabio, Governor Gabriel Suswam and a host of others arrived the Vatican last night for a meeting with the Pope today.

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, Sunday, said Pope Francis has promised to visit Nigeria. A statement from the president’s office, however, did not give any timing for the proposed visit.

It says they discussed poverty alleviation and inter-faith dialogue. The country’s population is divided almost equally between Muslims and Christians and Catholics make up about a quarter of Christians, an estimated 21 million Nigerians.

Many Christians belong to evangelical churches that have been winning converts from traditional churches. Pope Francis has committed to travel to the Holy Land and South Korea in 2014 and said he wants to visit The Philippines and Sri Lanka in coming years. His predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, visited Africa twice.

Bouqui had since launched and maintained a very successful music career releasing several albums and touring thde world with the good news message.

However, on returning to the country (Nigeria) after her 2013 US Tour, Bouqui had an interview with Vanguard where she revealed she has been considering  going back to broadcasting. Bouqui said she has been having several offers to host radio shows in the States which has left her at cross roads and needs time to make the future decision.

Bouqui said:

I am still thinking of going back to broadcasting. I had some openings in America to be presenting a radio programme, but I don’t know  if I am going to take up the offer.

Right now, I am at a major decision junction. I need to make some serious decisions that will affect the rest of my life.  I need to do it prayerfully and consciously.
