Zie’l is back and making the rounds with their new single, State of Emergency.  Penned by the group’s own Keyondra Lockett with production assistance from Grammy nominated Drathoven (Tyrese, Yolanda Adams, Shei Atkins, Zacardi Cortez, Jacob Lattimore), “State of Emergency” is the first Gospel single to be released by Dream Gospel Records.

Keyondra shared her feelings of how the song came to be: “State of Emergency came from some experiences in my life. I’ve been in dire straits and found myself needing The Lord and he came through for me! The Bible says that they we overcome by the word of our testimony. I pray that my testimony through this song helps someone else make it through their state of emergency.”

Wess Morgan Starts Livin On May 20th @wessmorgan

Its almost unbelievable that we last heard something new from Wess Morgan in 2010 with the release of Under an Open Heaven which yielded the super hit, I Choose to Worship.  Worship dominated the Billboard Gospel Radio Chart for over 57 weeks and earned both a Stellar and Dove award nominations.  On May 20th, Wess Morgan invites us to start Livin as he releases his new CD on his Bowtie Music label with distribution from Central South.

Beverly Crawford Bows At #1

A Computer Scientist by profession from UNN (University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria) and a rap minister by calling. He didn’t leave UNN without making his foot print in the sands of time. He made the lion and lionesses (students) in the den (UNN) roar for Christ with his worded and anointed songs. He had released couple of demos like “God is good”, “Greater light” etc. He was part of different rap groups before he graduated: C.J tribe, Gospel Evangelists (Immortal king and Nolly 'Son of da MostHigh').
He got introduced to rap music by the likes of Biggy smalls, Jay Z, Big L, Nas, 2pac but he dislikes the lyrical content (provocative and abusive) of these rappers that can only lead them to doom (Matt.12:37...for by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned). Instead of singing the songs of these rappers he started writing down Spirit and faith filled songs which he sang to himself to chart the cause of his life for success.

2014 BET Award Nominees Announced

Donnie McClurkin, Erica Campbell, Hezekiah Walker, Tamela Mann and Tye Tribbett received nominations in the Best Gospel Artist category for the 2014 “BET Awards”.  The “BET Awards” 2014 will air live on Sunday, June 29th at 8pm ET on BET Networks from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Erica Campbell Celebrates BET Nomination

Erica Campbell received her first nomination as a solo artist for the 2014 BET Awards. Her solo debut HELP was the number one gospel album on the Billboard chart for 4  consecutive weeks and has maintained the number one slot for 6 weeks total.   Campbell, has won three previous BET Awards, as part of multi award winning duo Mary Mary.

Donnie McClurkin Talks To Steve Harvey @donnieradio

Tye Tribbett Nominated For BET Award @tyetribbett

What a banner year it has been for Tye Tribbett! Arkansas Gospel Mass Choir Releases New Project

Deitrick Haddon blessed us with his new choir earlier this year, as the opener of the “Celebration of Gospel” on BET. He was listed in the show’s highlights and talked about for days after the Celebration of Gospel aired.  Audiences tuned in to the Oxygen Network this past Friday, Good Friday, to witness how extremely talented he was with his choir LXW.  Audience’s souls were refueled and people were left asking why anyone else hadn’t thought of it sooner.  Choirs around the world have been provided with new songs to sing in their church choirs, by this musical genius.

Deitrick Haddon remembers a time when choirs had a stronger presence in the African-American church.    “Every fifth Sunday”, he says, “was youth Sunday”.  Young people had a platform, and they had music that was made specifically for them. Chicago Mass Choir Set To Record In Chicago

After 10 years, the nationally acclaimed Chicago Mass Choir will return to their hometown of Chicago to record their 16th live project on Saturday, May 3rd.  The  Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award nominated choir known for such hits as “I Can Go to The Rock”, “He That Believeth”, “Holy Ghost Power”, “You Love Me”, “Jesus Promised”  and “Mighty Good God” has carried the gospel across the country and abroad.
