U.S ARTISTES TASHA COBBS & ERICA CAMPBELL LEND THEIR VOICES TO #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS CAMPAIGN

As the protest continues to compel the authorities to do more in reuniting the 234 abducted Nigerian school girls from Chibok, Borno back with their parents, the international community has joined the campaign with Gospel artistes Tasha Cobbs (Break Every Chain) and Erica Campbell (Mary Mary) lending their voice via the social media.

Erica Campbell who felt there are more pressing issues in the world other than a racist point of view (referring to Donald Sterling, Clippers owner who made a racist remark) said America spent all week discussing Donald when children are missing in another part of the world.

We spent all weekend talking about Donald Sterling, did anybody see anything about the 234 Nigerian girls that are missing in the news?? Whenever ignorance takes over the news there is always something important being ignored… #MyThoughts.” Erica said.

Also, few minutes ago, Tasha Cobbs who won her first Grammy for the song “Break Every Chain” also supported Erica Campbell’s view when she said we worry about things that are not important and ignore what is important. She was of the view that aside from the protest and campaign, we also need to ‘bombard’ heaven with our prayers.

#BringBackOurGirls… Over 200 beautiful Nigerian girls were taken from their school two weeks ago! We worry and publicize so many things that are worthless compared to the lives of these young ladies! Let’s join in with the country of Nigeria and bombard heaven in prayer for their return… The least we can do is hashtag #BringBackOurGirls and let’s get the attention of higher powers to act FAST!!!” Tasha Cobbs said.
Other international artistes who have joined in the campaign include Mary J. Blige, British recording artiste Emili Sande, Chris Brown, Shonda Rhimes, media/music mogul Russell Simmons, singer Keri Hilson, actress Keke Palmer, amongst others.
